Overseas property for sale in Croatia, France, Italy, Mallorca & Sardinia

Apremont Overseas property sale.

Majorca is spectacular with imposing mountains, dramatic caves; lush, rural countryside and quiet, pretty villages that offer idyllic getaways in direct contrast to the often hectic resorts. Mallorca is blessed with a vast array of fantastic beaches, from the long stretches of sandy coastline in the north, to the tiny, pine-clad coves in the east. Cala D'or has numerous beautiful, powdery coves and deep inlets which can get crowded, simply because of their beauty. Puerto De Soller has a narrow town beach of sand and shingle, and a delightful sandy beach at one end.

Beyond the resorts and considerable natural beauty of Mallorca - 'the island of six million almond trees' - there is so much more, including the elegant capital of Palma. A slow-paced walking city of some 300,000 inhabitants, Palma features a stunning historic quarter housing grand Baroque churches and magnificent Renaissance mansions, but is dominated by the awe-inspiring La Seu cathedral. Construction started in 1306 and lasted an amazing 500 years, but touches are still being randomly added to this day. Just outside the city is the equally extraordinary, 14th Century circular Bellver Castle: Bellver means 'beautiful view', and that is exactly what you get across the Bay of Palma from the castle ramparts.

Add to these attractions an average of 300 days of sunshine a year, superb beaches; world class shopping, dining and nightlife, and Mallorca represents a choice location for holidays and overseas property investment, totally belying its popular tabloid press image as a cheap 'n' cheerful, chips 'n' lager destination. Mallorca or Majorca, it is an enchanting island . For over a quarter of a century, the British have been buying and searching for a Villa in Mallorca an Apartment in Majorca or a Finca in Mallorca for sale as permanent, holiday or retirement homes, or purely as investments. Apremont Overseas have helped hundreds to find their dream Majorcan property from a wide range of beautiful, top value properties including villas, Fincas and apartments. South West Mallorca Puerto Andratx

The Southwest of Mallorca

The Southwest is one of Mallorca's most desirable residential areas and If you are playing with the idea to buy a property on Mallorca, the southwest offers very well. The capital Palma is to be reached from all places in only few minutes by car and even the airport is quickly accessible thanks to a well developed railway network. Because of the multicultural population there is a wide range of international schools and kindergartens making the south-west of Mallorca as a residential area very attractive. To give you a small impression of the area, we have picked out for you the four most exclusive places.

Portals Nous

In the past the rich Palmesaner spent the hottest two months (July and August) of the year in their summer residence in Portals Nous and Bendinat in the beautiful bays fringed by pine trees and covered coast. Now the most expensive marina of Mallorca, Puerto Portals has drawn in over the last 15 years the rich and famous from all over the world. The yachts in Puerto Portals are one of the largest and most expensive. Even King Juan Carlos I. starts his sailing trips with his family from here every year. The port is surrounded by a wide range of excellent restaurants and bars as well as noble boutiques. Not far from the harbor there is a small bay with a white sandy beach and clear turquoise-blue water. Also not far from the harbor, is the Marineland. Here you can watch dolphins, sharks, penguins, sea lions, tropical fish and other animals. Portals Nous has a lot of wonderful and very luxurious villas. Also the apartments in the city and the port are built to high standards and almost all enjoy a fantastic view over the harbor and the Mediterranean Sea.

Andratx
The idyllic place Andratx is in the western part of the Serra Tramuntana, Andratx is very romantic surrounded by orange groves and almond trees. From the palace "Son Mas" which after being renovated now acts as a city hall and cultural centre one can enjoy a breathtaking look above the roofs of the town, the wonderful green valley up to the deep blue of the bay approx. 6 km away of Andratx. Every Wednesday bustle returns to the village, as this is the day the weekly market with fresh fish, vegetables, cheese and all kinds of other things which make life so much nicer comes to town. On this day also appear a lot of tourists in the otherwise quiet and contemplative place.

Puerto Andratx

Puerto Andratx belongs to one of the finest natural ports of Mallorca. Earlier the harbor served primarily for the unloading of the goods which were determined for the place Andratx. The bay was often attacked by pirates whioch posed a constant threat and prevented people settling here. It was only much later that fishermen settled here. In only few years the harbor of Puerto Andratx of a small fishing port developed to one of the noblest harbors on the island. Who would like to acquire here a mooring, must be economical per running meter between 40.000 - 50.000 Euros. With a well-fitted wallet, it is fantastic to walk along the harbor promenade and spend a lot of money. There are jewelery stores, which conjure immediately a smile in the face of every woman, exquisite equipment shops with the latest and most exclusive pieces of furniture and home accessories, fabulous designer boutiques and lots of high-class bars and restaurants. As already in Puerto Portals the luxury to the rich and famous did not remain long concealed. Thus it particularly pulled the German-speaking celebrities, and the demand for villas and apartments in this area is increasing steadily.

Sol de Mallorca
Sol de Mallorca also belongs to one of the noblest places of Mallorca and is located between Portals Nous and Santa Ponsa. The place distinguishes itself by its wonderful idyllic, almost private bays with crystal clear water and marvelous sandy beaches. The best known bay is the "Three-Finger Bay" and it is located below the casino. You can enjoy from several locations splendid panoramic views over the sea, pine groves and the entire natural surroundings. By this dreamlike situation most villas in Sol de Mallorca enjoy a fantastic panoramic sea view. Some quite exclusive objects are frontline to the sea.
There are various riding schools and possibilities nearby, so perfect for horse lovers, also there are many shopping facilities just a few minutes car ride away.

Mallorcan Beaches in the Summertime
If you are dreaming of warm azure seas with sandy beaches and nearby verdant countryside and blue skies, you may be dreaming of Mallorca. You may be imagining village houses and buildings of stone, mouth-watering foods and aromas; you might be yearning for a place with a rich history and culture that comes from an amalgamation of many peoples and civilizations. You can realize those dreams and desires year after year by purchasing a property on the lovely island of Mallorca.

Many people have called Mallorca home throughout history. The Paleolithic peoples of the region left their burial sites for discoverers between 6000 and 4000 B.C. The island has served many cultures and people since then, with the Carthaginians, Romans, Vandals, Byzantine Empire, North African Muslims, and Spain among those laying claim to the beautiful island at one time or another. And it might be partly because of the climate. Today the area is carefully maintained and groomed because so much of Mallorca depends on tourism and property acquisitions.

There is a mysterious charm in Mallorca, which leaves its visitors mesmerized no matter how often they come here. Visitors and residents here enjoy about 10 hours of sunshine in the summer, with temps rising to the mid-30°sC in July and August. These temperatures make the coastal waters warm, often reaching 26°C at summer's height. There are an amazing number of beaches - around 180 beaches and calas (coves) - with white sugar sand. Fortunately, there are also always excellent property sales in Mallorca, even during summer's peak. Most people who are interested in this island can find affordable property that suits their needs, as well as services and people to help them get accustomed to life there.

A full 25 of the 76 Mallorcan beaches have been given Blue Flag awards by the European Union. To receive the flags, the beaches must be well kept and clean. Because they are important for the successful sale of property in the area, the islanders maintain very high standards for them and work hard to maintain them. For this reason, the Mallorcan beaches are safe for children, making the area perfect for families on holiday or for those who are looking for property outside their own shores.

The calas, or coves, in the southeast portion of Mallorca create quiet and pretty indentations into the coastline. High cliffs shelter many of the sandy areas at the end of the inlets, and shady pines line the edges. The water is a warm, clear blue, and is ideal for swimming, diving, snorkeling, fishing, and boating.

No matter if you are sunbathing on the white sands of a Mallorcan beach or a swimming pool, the warm waters of the area are a welcome pleasure in the hot summer days. These summer days have captivated millions for many years, and the continued support of the islands residents and excellent sunshine will continue to draw many more to come and relax in the beautiful Mediterranean environment of Mallorca.
